Most people paint the mill from the other side, but I decided to try it from the East. I liked the marshland as a foreground to the composition. I will let you into a little secret which wont be a secret any more from now. I love to see images that have been painted so often they become visual clichs and think to myself, "I wonder if I can do a better job of it?" I have a go and
